Description
The purpose of this three day course is to provide the participant general knowledge and practical skills necessary to be able to operate the machine under supervision. This is for candidates with little or no experience in operations of a dumptruck.
Under the 2013 Construction Regulations all machine operators operating on construction sites must have a valid CSCS card for particular machines. This course will give them the required knowledge on how to minimise the risk of accidents in their workplace while operating machines.
Please not that Safetech only run this course on a group booking basis & do not offer public dates for this course.
Course Content
This is a three day introduction for beginners to learn the basic operations of the Articulated Dump Truck
Day One: Induction for new entrants
Day Two: Introduction to the Articulated Dump Truck
Day Three: Articulated Dump Truck Operations
The Programme will consist of classroom sessions of underpinning knowledge relating to Articulated Dump Truck operations, and operation of the Articulated Dump Truck.
On completion of this programme there are certain tasks within the logbook which must be completed. You are required to spend a minimum of six months operating the machine within a two year timeframe before you can apply for your CSCS Card. Once the log book is completed you must attend an additional 1 Day Assessment in order to receive your experienced ticket which is valid for 5 years.
Certification
Following this 3 day programme a SOLAS Logbook will be issued to each participant on this course. A Training Card will be issued to each participant directly from SOLAS.
