Aims:
This course is specifically designed for persons who enter tunnels and require tunnel entry qualifications, incorporating City and Guilds Assessments and accreditation.
Learning Outcomes
• Legislation relevant to tunnel entry/safety.
• Hazards, risk assessment and risk controls associated with tunnel entry.
• Selection of equipment/safety equipment.
• Emergency self-rescue procedures.
In order to obtain a CSCS Tunnell Entry card, you are required to successfully complete the CSCS Test (45min multiple choice computer test). This can
be completed at any CSCS Centre or any of Safetech Centres based in Donegal, Mayo or Wicklow
Delivery Method
This course is delivered both in the classroom and through a hands on practical experience with relevant safety equipment. The assessment element of this training focuses on planning a tunnel entry through completing written and oral tests and being observed during practical element.
