CSCS Articulated Dump Truck - Experienced Operator

Description

This CSCS assessment course in Articulated Dump Truck Operation is designed for experienced operators who wish to apply for assessment to gain recognition for their achievements by way of certification and to comply with statutory regulations.

To provide an opportunity for participants to demonstrate their skills, knowledge and attitudes associated with Articulated Dump Truck operations and to obtain the appropriate certification.

Please note that Safetech only run this course on a group booking basis & do not offer public dates for this course.

Content

The programme will consist of a classroom session of underpinning knowledge relating to Articulated Dump Truck operations, a one-hour practical test and a one-hour related knowledge test.

Theory Session

• Daily inspections of machine
• Functions of controls
• Safe use of machine around site
• Certification and testing of machine & attachments
• Terrain and associated hazards
• Loading dumper and unloading
• Transport of machine to and from site
• Practical Test
• Theory Test

Requirements

Candidates for this programme must:

• Have at least six months experience on an Articulated Dump Truck in accordance with the 4th Schedule - of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013
• The six months experience must be within the last two years.
• Hold a current FÁS SafePass Card
• Have completed the Completed Candidate Pack or hold a valid New Entrant CSCS trainee operators card & fully completed log book
• Be at least 18 years of age
• 1 x Passport Photo
• PPS Number
• PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), i.e. Hard Hat, High Vis Vest, Steel Toe Capped Boots, Gloves.

Certification

On successful completion candidates will be awarded a QQI Level 5 Certificate and a CSCS Card. Safetech Consulting and Training Ltd is approved by SOLAS to deliver and assess the programme on its behalf.
