Driver CPC

Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competency) was introduced across the EU from 10th September 2008 for professional bus drivers and 10th September 2009 for professional truck drivers.

Aim:

Its purpose is to set and maintain high standards of road safety, health and safety and driving among professional drivers (those who drive for a living) of buses and trucks

Who enforces Driver CPC?:

An Garda Siochana and the RSA transport Officers have the powers to enforce Driver CPC, under the law.

CPC Periodic Training Syllabus Titles:

  • Control of Vehicle and eco Driving techniques
  • Minimising risks and Managing Emergencies in the transport Industry
  • Health and safety of the professional driver
  • Role of the professional driver in the transport industry
  • The professional Truck Driver
  • The professional Bus Driver

Duration:

1 Day

Training Times:

09:00 - 17:00

Prerequisites:

Candidates must hold a Full Bus Drivers License before 10th Sept 08 or hold Full Truck Driver License before 10th Sept 09; PPS number
