Description

To ensure that all participants are trained in the correct and safe operation of a variety of lorry loaders. Participants will receive training on the safe working practices applicable to crane operations and sufficient practical training to ensure the operator is conversant and comfortable with the operating of the machines in a work environment.

•     Responsibilities of operator
•     Pre-Shift inspections
•     Maintenance of machines
•     Hazards associated when operating the machine

Practical

•     Inspections of machine before use
•     Risk assessment in working environment
•     Wearing of correct P.P.E.
•     Loading/Unloading of different types of loads when using chains or slings
•     Recognition and use of approved hand signals

•     Theory & Practical Assessment

Requirements

Candidates for this programme must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• 1 x Passport Photo
• Personal Protective Equipment (i.e. Hard Hat, High Vis Vest, Steel Toe Capped Boots & Gloves)

Certification

All successful participants will receive an RTITB Certificate. Certification expires every 3 years.
