VDU Assessment Courses are aimed at meeting the requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, 1989 (& subsequent amendments) that apply to Visual Display Systems (VDUs) in the workplace.
Under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations, 2007, employers are required to analyse VDU workstations and work environments to assess the risks to the health and safety of users and to reduce these risks to the lowest practicable level. Employers are required to pay particular attention to eyesight, physical difficulties and mental stress and carry out appropriate steps to control any risks identified.
VDU Workstation Assessment:
Safetech provides a VDU assessment service to employers whereby a consultant visits the employer's premises and caries out an assessment. The employer's VDU workstations are ergonomically assessed and recommendations are made to enable the employer to adhere to the VDU regulations.
